Another significant change is the introduction of a digital visa, replacing the traditional sticker in your passport. This new format, featuring a 2D barcode with cryptographic signatures, enhances security and reduces the risk of counterfeit or stolen stickers.
Visiting the consulate or visa service provider will only be necessary for first-time applicants, those with expired biometrics, or individuals with a new travel document.
